Established in 1982 , Singapore Industrial Automation Association (“SIAA” ) is a professional trade association that facilities and forms strategic alliances to build a global competitive manufacturing and service communities through innovative and effective application of automation and M2M (machine-to-machine) technologies.  

It is a vanguard of the automation movement promoting the application of industrial and information automation to enhance the competitiveness of Singapore-based companies. The Singapore Institute of Materials Management (SIMM) was incorporated in 1980 as a non-profit and self-supporting independent educational institution.
